Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) accounts for 60% to 80% of all strokes. It is a group of clinical syndromes of cerebral blood supply disorders caused by various reasons, which result in ischemic and hypoxic necrosis, which in turn leads to neurological dysfunction[1].
The key to AIS treatment is to open the blocked blood vessel as soon as possible to save the ischemic penumbra [1]. For this purpose, intravenous thrombolysis is used as the standard treatment for all eligible patients. Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is a frontier endovascular treatment that can be performed in combination with intravenous thrombolysis or alone when intravenous thrombolysis is not suitable [2].
